Our Island Gardenia (formerly Magnolia) pillar candles will bring beauty and elegance to your home for endless hours. The meticulous pillar range are the Elume originals. Each one handcrafted in Sydney using the finest quality paraffin wax and pure cotton wicks with our characteristic “snowflake effect” look. You’ll adore the warm glow and soft scents emanating from your round pillar candle for hours and hours. We offer five different sizes and burn times for you to choose from.

We offer free shipping on orders over $99. Orders under this amount will have shipping calculated at the time of check-out (applies to retails orders only, not valid on wholesale orders). The $99 free shipping offer applies to orders with a paid value of $99 or more. Orders that qualify for discounts, reducing the paid value below $99, will not be eligible for free shipping.
All Australia orders are dispatched from Sydney, NSW.
Delivery made between 9am-5pm Monday – Friday via Australia Post. VIC and NSW metro areas delivered within 2-4 business days after order is placed. All other areas within 3-5 business days after your order is placed. *Some rural deliveries may take longer. Covid19 may cause further delays.

ELUME do not currently offer international shipping to countries outside of Australia.
RETURNS
If you are not satisfied with your purchase you can return it for a full refund or replacement within 30 days. Returned goods must be in unused condition with packaging and order confirmation included. Please allow 3 to 7 days for processing and understand that we cannot refund postage and packaging unless goods are deemed to be faulty. The customer is responsible for return shipping. If you wish to return your purchase, please contact us and we will provide details on where to send your return.
How to care for & burn your pillar candle
Before Lighting
- Place on a flat, heat‑resistant plate or holder
- Trim the wick to 5–7mm before each burn
- Keep away from drafts, children, pets, and flammable items
First Burn
- Allow wax to melt fully across the top, extinguishing when wax pool is 1 cm from the edge
- This may take 2–4 hours, depending on candle size, so it is important to watch it closely
- A full melt pool helps prevent tunnelling and maximize burn time
During Use
- If the flame becomes smoky or too large:
- Extinguish, cool, trim the wick, then relight
- Extinguish if the flame gets too close to the base or holder
Wick & Wax Care
- Keep the wick centered and upright while wax is soft
- Gently push softened wax inward if it builds up on the sides
- Stop burning when 10–15mm of wax remains
Candle Safety
- Never leave a burning candle unattended
- Do not move the candle while wax is molten
- Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting
- Use a candle snuffer to minimize smoke
