How to Care for & Burn Your Extra‑Large 3‑Wick Pillar Candle

Extra‑large pillar candles with three wicks are designed to create a broad, even flame and a strong visual presence. Proper care will help ensure a safe, even burn and extend the life of your candle.

Before Lighting

• Always place the candle on a flat, heat‑resistant plate or holder to catch melting wax.
• Burn in a draft‑free area to ensure all three wicks burn evenly.
• Trim all three wicks to approximately 5–7 mm before lighting.

First Burn

• Allow the candle to burn long enough for the wax to melt fully across the entire surface, reaching the edges.
• Due to the size of the candle, this may take several hours.
• A full melt pool on the first burn helps prevent tunnelling and promotes an even burn throughout the candle’s life.

During Use

• Burn for no more than 3–4 hours at a time.
• Ensure all three wicks remain lit; if one goes out, carefully relight once the wax has stabilised.
• If flames become too large or smoky, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool, trim the wicks, and relight.

Ongoing Care

• Keep the wicks centred and upright while the wax is soft.
• Gently push softened wax from the sides inward if needed to maintain an even shape.
• Do not move the candle while the wax is molten.

When to Stop Burning

• Discontinue use when approximately 10–15 mm of wax remains at the base.
• Allow the candle to cool completely before handling.

Candle Safety

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.
• Always allow the candle to cool fully before relighting.

Delivery made between 9am-5pm Monday – Friday via Australia Post. VIC and NSW metro areas delivered within 2-4 business days after order is placed. All other areas within 3-5 business days after your order is placed. *Some rural deliveries may take longer. Covid19 may cause further delays.

RETURNS

If you are not satisfied with your purchase you can return it for a full refund or replacement within 30 days.  Returned goods must be in unused condition with packaging and order confirmation included.  Please allow 3 to 7 days for processing and understand that we cannot refund postage and packaging unless goods are deemed to be faulty.  The customer is responsible for return shipping.  If you wish to return your purchase, please contact us and we will provide details on where to send your return.
